Campo Viejo Rosé – 100% Tempranillo. A lovely pale salmon pink with fresh berry aromas. Soft ripe cherry flavours on the palate with a hint of spice. A great wine on its own or served with chicken, pasta or seafood.
Campo Viejo is made at Bodegas Juan Alcorta near Logroño in the heart of Rioja Alavesa by winemaker Elena Adell. Boasting one of the largest barrel halls in Europe (70,000 in one room) it can hold up to 6 million bottles at any one time. The cellar, seven metres under the ground, is free from air currents or temperature changes allowing the wines to complete their ageing in perfect conditions.
