Jean-Michel
Cazes, owner of the prestigious chateau LYNCH BAGES, created the
Bordeaux brand, MICHEL LYNCH, to reflect the rich diversity of
Boredeaux's terroirs.
Jean-Michel
Cazes created the Michel Lynch range to reflect the rich diversity
of Bordeaux's terroirs. Michel Lynch represents both tradition
and modernity in Bordeaux.
The
range takes its name from Michel Lynch, the 18th century founder
of Chateau Lynch-Bages and passionate winegrower who epitomises
the tradition of great Bordeaux wines. The know-how of the Cazes
family, the present-day owners who manage several famous Bordeaux
estates, guarantees quality wines made by winegrowers sharing
the same high standards. Michel Lynch blends express the best
of their appellation and vintage year. Maximum advantage is taken
of the freedom to select wines from the finest vineyard plots
to produce rich Medoc and Graves or round wines from Fronsac,
Cotes de castillon and Cotes de Blaye.
The
Michel Lynch Range consists of a White & Red Classic and a
White & Red Reserve. All the wines are elegant, bold, and
affordable. Michel Lynch wines are easy to drink and in tune with
a modern lifestyle that values good taste and simplicity.
CIRCUS
- LANGUEDOC
L'OSTAL
CAZES
In early 2002, Jean-Michel Cazes bought two neighbouring estates
in La Liviniere in the Languedoc region. He united these to form
a single 150 hectare estate with over 60 hectares of vines (Syrah,
Carignan, Grenache and Mourvedre) and named the estate L'Ostal
Cazes. Large scale renovation of the vineyard is under way and
a new nearby winery was purchased in April 2003.
Confident
in the future and tremendous potential of L'Ostal Cazes, Jean-Michel
Cazes decided to launch a separate new range of quality Languedoc
wines called CIRCUS which do not come from his estate.
The
new range consists of three wines:
Circus Series - (Vins de pays d'Oc), a blend of Syrah, Grenache,
Mourvedre and Carignan
Circus Series Syrah - (Vins de pays d'Oc)
Parade - a blend of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre and Carignan from
the Minervois
